Following the launch of the latest IQOS 3 Duo smoke-free device in October, Philip Morris International (PMI) has launched a travel-only version in duty-free shops in Japan and South Korea, and Dubai will launch it next week.
In pursuit of producing the most advanced and innovative smoke-free products for adult smokers, PMI recently launched the IQOS 3 Duo, which is characterized by the fastest and most powerful cradle in the IQOS family so far, when the cradle is not charged. It can be used twice in a row.
The IQOS 3 Duo Exclusive Travel Edition features a striking new rainbow purple design and is only available for a limited time in duty-free locations in Japan, South Korea, and Dubai.
PMI launched a travel edition in Japan and South Korea earlier this week (December 2), with offices in Kansai, Narita, Haneda, and Incheon International Airports in these two countries. Dubai Airport will then launch IQOS 3 Duo on December 12.
“The launch of IQOS 3 Duo Travel Exclusive Edition proves that we are always committed to making legal age consumers feel happy in travel retail by exclusively providing unique and fashionable discounts at selected duty-free locations. PMI Duo Vice President Ed Edvinas Katilius said: “This travel version is the latest product of the IQOS family. It affirms our commitment to continuous innovation and provides adult smokers with a better choice than continuous smoking. “.
The IQOS 3 Duo Exclusive Travel Edition is only available in selected duty-free locations and offers a complex iconic look with iridescent metallic finishes designed to highlight exclusive offers in limited editions.
PMI stated that taking IQOS 3 Duo as an example, the continued development of a new generation of smoke-free technology is promoted by PMI consumer insight research and supported by scientific evidence.
The launch of the new product is the latest step in the company’s journey towards a smoke-free future, and it also strengthens its leading position in the field of next-generation products.
For more than 10 years, PMI has invested US$6 billion to conduct scientific research, development and commercialization of PMI’s growing premium smoke-free products (including IQOS 3 Duo).
Catilius said at the Trinity Forum held in October this year that the company is launching a direct-to-consumer sales model in the duty-free market. “Tax exemption is a rich data channel, and we are looking for opportunities to work with partners to benefit from better data sharing.”
“We want to see the IQOS lounge at the airport. It is wrong to restrict IQOS customers to the smoking lounge at the airport. To make this new smoke-free world a reality, we must stop smoking cigarettes. All our investments are supported. Our new product, the company only focuses on IQOS-we no longer talk about cigarettes.
PMI’s goal is that by 2025, at least 40 million PMI smokers who would otherwise continue to smoke will switch to smoke-free products, and at least 30% of their sales will come from smoke-free products iqos.
