British American Tobacco (BAT) announced the launch of a new heat-not-burn tobacco brand “glo”. From December 12, 2016, convenience stores and tobacco specialty stores in Sendai City will sell the world’s first starter set and three “KENT” brand cigarette products.

The four concepts of “glo” are “smart”, “relaxed”, “fun” and “consider the surrounding environment”.
A special edition “glo” designed by lacquer designer Koichiro Kimura will also be displayed in the venue. He stated that 200 Swarovski crystals were used.
There are also three cigarette cartridges jointly released: the ordinary “Bright Tobacco”, the menthol “Fresh Mix” with a variety of menthol, and the “Intensely Fresh” with a strong menthol sensation that pursues coldness. .
Glo heats the cartridge to 240 degrees, while traditional cigarettes burn around 900 degrees. It has a structure in which the cigarette/cartridge heater (main body) is heated from the outside. As a result of such heating, organic oxides produced by the combustion reaction are hardly produced, and unlike cigarettes, vapors that are almost the same as air are produced. It has a low odor and can reduce harmful substances by about 90%.
The “Glo” cigarette heater has a cool metal body and a luxurious feel. Insert a cigarette here, then press the center button to vibrate to turn on the light. You can start smoking in 1 minute. The smoking time is about 3 minutes per roll. It will vibrate to notify you about 20 seconds before the end of the smoking.

I also tried to smoke some, “Bright Tobacco” has a more direct taste of “KENT”. “Fresh Mix” has a strong impression of mint flavor, but most importantly, the mint flavor of “Intensely Fresh” is particularly pungent. Perhaps it is the strongest menthol in various cigarettes.
