It is reported that on January 13, the Canadian HNB heat not burn company PODA announced that it had signed a letter of intent with the European tobacco company Landewyck. The two parties signed a cooperation agreement on intellectual property, branding, manufacturing equipment and distribution channels to develop a variety of commercial products. The two parties intend to evaluate further possibilities for cooperation through a mixed development experimental period.
Combining Landewyck’s specialized distribution skills and manufacturing with PODA’s HNB patented technology, the aim is to develop consumer-focused products that bring convenience and unique flavors to the user’s safety products. Ryan Selby, CEO of PODA, said of the collaboration: “This marks a milestone in the commercialization of PODA in Europe and abroad. Landewyck has been in the tobacco industry for over 170 years and brings a wealth of manufacturing knowledge and distribution experience to the table. We intend to begin immediately. Hybrid development trials and hope to move quickly to large-scale commercialization.”
